Guardamar is a typical Spanish seaside town with a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants and a street market every Wednesday. The golden sandy beaches hold the Blue Flag award for cleanliness. There is the choice between the town beach with its promenade or towards the marina the beach is backed by sand dunes and pine trees. This is a conservation area and is excellent for walks and picnics.
The town holds many spectacular Fiestas throughout the year and in July and August there is a nightly street market and funfair. Also there are free concerts in the park in August.
There are several Golf courses a short drive away and Guardamar is an excellent location for all watersports. There are also Aquaparks in Torrevieja and Rojales.
Guardamar is ideally placed for exploring further afield. Buses are easy and cheap and run to Alicante to the north and Torrevieja (and further) to the south.
The apartment is situated on the northern edge of the town adjacent to the Segura river on the road leading to the marina. It is close to an excellent supermarket and only about 7 minutes walk to the centre of Guardamar.
The river is home to many different species of birds and the Town Hall has recently financed major improvements to the area, creating very pleasant walkways along the banks.
You will find infomation on the area and a bus timetable in the apartment, and information on all current local events can be obtained from the Tourist Information Office situated in the Town Hall square.
There are also books in the apartment for your holiday reading.
A complimentary bottle of wine awaits your arrival and there will also be water and milk in the fridge.
Our apartment is situated on the first floor of a small block with the balcony overlooking the attractive pool area. There is also a communal roof terrace - ideal for sunbathing.
Two petanca courts have recently been added to the facilities. (Petanca set available in the apartment)

Access to the apartment is from 15.00h on the day of arrival and departure is before 11.00h on the day of departure.
These times may be extended by arrangement according to our bookings.
We require payment of 25% to secure your booking - the balance is then due 6 weeks prior to your holiday together with £100 refundable bond. The bond will be returned to you by bank transfer within 2 weeks of your departure subject to everything being satisfactory and no extra cleaning required.
We will accept payment in Euros.
We will take bookings for any number of days - minimum 4
Cot hire is available if required at a cost of £20 per week
