This apartment has been decorated to our own personal taste & is a holiday home. The standard of the decor and furnishings are luxurious and not of the standard you would normally find in a holiday rental property. My family and I do not use our apartment as much now, so we have chosen to share it with holiday makers. I hope you enjoy looking at our holiday home and if you do book a holiday here, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
The apartment is fully air conditioned, decorated to a very high standard & is situated in a small, exclusive apartment building.
Our apartment has a large spacious hallway, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living/dining room, separate kitchen and separate utility room and a lovely terrace with bay and sea view.
The living room has leather sofas, flat screen TV, DVD player, air conditioning, electric blackout shutter, dining room table and chairs, side board, tables and lights.
Master bedroom: has a king size bed, dressing room with en-suite bathroom. Shower over the bath, twin sinks, toilet and bidet.
Second bedroom: has two full size single beds, fitted wardrobes, bedside tables, lights and full blackout shutter.
Second bathroom: has a shower, sink and toilet.
Kitchen is fully fitted with oven, hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Pots, pan, plates, dishes and cowls in every shape and size. This kitchen is equipped with for everyday living.
Utility room is equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer and air-rack for clothes. Iron and ironing board.
The living room & main bedroom lead onto the south facing terrace, which has views across the bay. The terrace has a table, four chairs & a large grill for alfresco cooking.
The views are stunning; the photographs do not do it justice. It is a very peaceful area, with no through traffic, the only sounds that can be heard are the lapping of waves on the beach below.
I supply towels and bed lining for your use during your stay.
The communal swimming pool has showers, grass area and direct access to the beach via a gate & steps. This also leads down to Marina del Este with its yachts, restaurants and café life.
The swimming pool is only from beginning of June until the end of September, if the weather is still very hot it will stay open into October.
The beach itself has an excellent restaurant, and is only a few steps downhill. The beach has a lovely beach bar, which is child friendly and with free WiFi.
Water sports are available from the marina and the beach. You can scuba diving from the beach which is reputed to be one of the best areas to dive in Europe. There are companies who offer trips along the coast and the bay from the Marina, with or without food and Champagne.
The apartment is situated between La Herradura and Almunecar with easy access to both towns by car.
La Herradura has many good local restaurants both on and off its fine long beach and is also a well known scuba diving hub.
Almunecar has been a thriving town since Roman times and it has all the feel of an old, unspoiled Spanish town. The central square is the hub of the old town which is closed to traffic & is surrounded by small shops, tapas bars & restaurants stretching right down to the beach, some of which are open all night until the morning during the summer months (so we are told!). The late night environment is very safe for both children & teenagers.
The Aquapark lies on the far edge of town and is open during the summer months, they also hold even events with music.
Behind the town the Sierra Nevada rises up to majestic heights & during the winter months the mountains are beautiful with their tops capped with snow. At the very same time Almunecar continues to enjoy its wonderfully pleasant climate which even in midwinter usually blesses visitors with clear blue skies that can be enjoyed in T-shirts during the day plus light sweaters for morning and evening. Up behind the town lies Las Alpujarras, the sub alpine region of the Sierra Nevada, dotted with quaint villages surrounded by wild flower meadows where the famous hams of the region are still dried in the fresh air. Higher still, but still less than an hour’s drive away, lies the famous city of Granada & a little further on is the skiing resort of the Sierra Nevada with its 17 chair & ski lifts offering the best skiing in Spain between December & April, depending of course on local weather conditions. Friends of ours regularly ski at the weekend, commuting from nearby, they say that the skiing is as good as any resort in Austria & the views spectacular.
You really can ski during the day & be back in time for dinner on the beach in the evening.
Golf is available in Salobrena and Caleta De Velez.
A toll free motorway along the coast connects Marina del Este with the international airport of Malaga in 50 minutes.
The climate is mild & offers sunny & excellent day temperatures all year around.

25% of price (minimum of €150) of the holiday, is required as a deposit at time of booking, a further 25% of the balance is due 8 weeks prior to rental date. The remaining balance is due to be paid in cash upon arrival at the apartment.

We are flexible on the your length of stay, for example 8 or 10 nights,and this means you can shop around for the cheapest flights.
