Nestled in the hills, yet close to many beaches and set in attractive gardens with two swimming pools (one just for children), Los Altos De Lunymar is a family friendly, small gated development of spacious 2 and 3 bedroom apartments with large terraces. You have private underground parking in an allocated parking space right by the lift direct to the apartment.

Our property is a spacious first floor 3 bedroom apartment which benefits from the sun from morning to mid-afternoon on the front terrace and from mid-afternoon until evening on the rear terrace, so your family can live, relax and eat outdoors.

This is an ideal base for exploring the coast and its many attractions, or the famous white hill towns such as Ronda and Casares.

"We have spent several happy summer holidays in Los Altos de Lunymar and this apartment is one of the best we have visited. The rooms inside are very spacious and there was plenty of room for us and our son Bailey. The apartment was immaculately clean with lovely towels provided for us to use inside the apartment. The terrace is huge and perfect for sunbathing in the daytime and barbecuing at night. The large outdoor dining set meant that we felt comfortable inviting our friends round for dinner, knowing that we wouldn't be crammed around a tiny table meant for two as in other apartments we have rented. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed and there was enough work surface for us to easily set up the equipment we needed for Bailey's feeds as well.
Outside, we all enjoyed spending time in the pool and the gardens. It was very useful for us to have a children's pool available. The owner was very approachable and happily answered all our questions prior to our visit. It's a great area to visit for families and we particularly enjoyed our day out at Selwo wildlife park. We also had a lovely meal out at Laguna Village on our last night. I can highly recommend a family visit to the Costa del Sol and in particular to this apartment in Estepona.

My family stayed at Los Altos de Lunymar from 20 – 29 December 2010. Our sons are aged 22 and 19 and the location was perfect for us as they found plenty to keep them amused in the surrounding area. The local people are very friendly and communication is not a problem as simple English is understood by a lot of the populace. The apartment was the perfect size for us with both boys having separate rooms, with plenty of space to avoid you feeling as if you were cramped. The Estepona marina is a lovely place to walk around with its abundance of restaurants and the Sunday market is a fun atmosphere. The local road network is great, it only took us well under an hour to get down to Gibraltar and the drive down to Tarifa is spectacular. This area of Spain has some wonderful picturesque scenery.

Los Altos De Lunymar is located west of Marbella and close to Estepona, a quieter coastal town with a wonderful wide sandy beach, well known for having kept its Spanish character and having plenty of Tapas bars and restaurants. You'll be just a short drive away from the upmarket beach resort of Laguna Village with its designer shops, restaurants and beach club.

Your family will have access to plenty of entertainment on your doorstep. Just a three minute drive away is Selwo Adventure Park, which keeps exotic animals in semi-wild conditions and has many activities and adventures to keep everyone interested. You are just minutes away from 3 beaches each with bars, restaurants and many activities. There's the Blue Dolphin Beach Club offering a great atmosphere and a Mediterranean and International menu and where you can take part in Dolphin & Jeep Eco trips & water sports. Heaven Beach is a quiet beach for those of you wanting to escape the crowds. Heaven has an upmarket Chiringito that serves a fantastic Mediterranean menu. Sonora Beach is an amazingly refreshing addition to the area with its chilled out, laid back and funky set-up. You won't need to go anywhere else but if you want to, along the coast towards Malaga are a series of theme parks including the aquapark and crocodile park at Torremolinos and the aquapark and Karting at Mijas Costa; the zoo at Fuengirola and sea life centre and aquarium at Benelmadena and Marbella. For the more active there's Funny Beach at Marbella and CableSki less than 10 minutes away at Guadalmina.

Alternatively, you can just come and chill on the 45m2 terrace which overlooks the gardens and pools so you can keep an eye on the children as they play. Or you can relax in the gardens by the pools at Los Altos, or on the nearby beaches with their numerous beach bars and restaurants. The Costa del Sol boasts of having over 300 days of sunshine a year and the winters are mostly warm or mild making it truly a year round destination.

The property is within easy walking distance of La Resina Golf & Country Club where you can enjoy the public restaurant. There are other restaurants a short drive or a 15/20 minute walk away. You have a choice of supermarkets within easy driving distance, while less than a 10 minute drive away is one of the regions premier Thalasso and Spa Hotels, The Selenza and the world famous Los Flamingos golf course. Banks, shops, restaurants and bars are also just short drives away.

The property has a double and two twin bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people with ease. (an extra bed can be arranged if required) The Master bedroom has a King sized bed and 2 double wardrobes complete with hangers. Each bedroom has its own hair dryer. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is ensuite to the Master bedroom. There is also a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen and a large living/dining room, plus a large terrace which has tables and chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue for outdoor living. If you need to stay indoors, you have satellite tv and a CD/DVD. Extra beds or cots can be arranged if needed.

Upon arrival at the apartment you will be met by our local representative who will talk you through how everything works in the apartment and generally provide you with any information you may need about the apartment itself and the surrounding area. This service is complimentary between the hours of 10am to 8pm Monday to Saturday but otherwise will incur an extra charge of 69.60 euros.

Our representative can also provide you with a welcome pack on arrival, especially useful if you are arriving on a late flight, as well as assisting with any requirements you may have from baby equipment hire (bookable in advance), car hire, maid service cleaning, restaurant bookings, excursion bookings and so on. You will be given a mobile number to contact our representative at any time in case of emergencies.
