Introduction
We call our properties "Lake of Dreams" and if you choose to stay here we think you'll understand why! The Farmhouse, sleeping nine people and The Cottage sleeping four, can be rented individually or together. They are set in idyllic countryside overlooking olive groves and mountains towards the moorish village of Iznajar and the largest lake in Andalucia. If you can tear yourself away there you are convenient to all the attractions Andalucia has to offer - historic cities, countryside and sports - or just chill out in comfort by the pool!

The Farmhouse
The spacious beamed famhouse combines modern convenience while retaining its original features. There are four large beamed bedrooms - two groundfloor doubles and two upstairs twins. The cosy sitting room has two settees, log burner, music centre and a selection of books and board games. It is a quiet place to relax or you may prefer to watch satellite TV in the large lounge. This has an exposed stone wall with a window overlooking the lake, two settees and a log burner. The large beamed farmhouse kitchen/dining room is fully fitted. There is also a downstairs bathroom, seperate utility room and an upstairs shower room

The Cottage
The character cottage has a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with stunning views across to the lake. There is a fully fitted kitchen,dining table,settee, log burner, CD player and a selection of books and board games. The seperate lounge has two settees and satellite TV. The beamed downstairs bedroom has two single beds. There is also a downstairs bathroom. Upstairs there is a charming beamed twin bedroom.

Outside
The farmhouse has a terrace with gas barbecue. From here you can enjoy glorious views of Iznajar village and lake. The grapevine covered terrace is a cool and restful area.
The cottage has a large terrace with gas barbecue. As with the farmhouse you can have an evening glass of wine looking across the lake and enjoy the sunset; - its what we enjoy to do and take in the magic atmosphere.

The Swimming Pool
The large swimming pool area has panoramic views taking in the best scenery Andalucia has to offer. The saline/salt pool is 8m x 4m which ranges from 1m to 1.5m in depth and has underwater lighting. There are roman steps at one end for easy access. Terrace lights enable you to swim at night under the stars! The spacious terrace has sunloungers, barbecue, outside shower and an al fresco dining area.

Activities
The nearest beach is on beautiful Lake Iznajar only a fifteen minute drive right onto the beach! There is a bar/restaurant, barbecue facilities, fishing and watersports. if you prefer, the crowds of the main coastal resorts are an hour away.
The three great historic cities of Andalucia are all within easy reach. Granada, with the Alhambra Palace, is just under an hour. Cordoba with the great moorish Mesquita is ninety minutes and vibrant Seville two hours. The newly opened Picasso Museum in Malaga is an hour away.
The dramatic limestone landscape of El Torcal National Park and El Chorro gorge near the historic town of Antequerra is thirty minutes. The nearest golf course is also in Antequerra. It has been designed by Jose Maria Canizares. It is challenging for all levels of golfers. There is also a swimming pool and spa, tennis courts and restaurant. All this with stunning scenery and no coastal crowds!The area is wonderful for birdwatching and walking. Horseriding is available ten minutes drive from the properties. In the winter months skiing is ninety minutes away in the beautiful Sierra Nevada.

There is so much to see and do - just relax and enjoy the "real Spain" with its history, stunning scenery and friendly people.

Notes on Accommodation
All linen, blankets and towels(With the exception of beach/swimming towels) are provided. Mobile heaters are available for cosy winter letsand all beds are fitted with electric blankets. A "Meet and Greet" service covers the initial arrival and collection of keys. An "essentials" pack is also provided. There is a full information pack in the house. It is non smoking accommodation. Changeover day is Saturday but this is more flexible in low season.

Malaga Airport is an easy hour drive. Car hire is essential.

The local shop and bar/restaurant is a five minute drive. The baker delivers freshly baked bread three times a week. There are a full range of facilities in Iznajar which is a fifteen minute drive.

There is a seperate utility room with sink,washing machine, iron and ironing board. The fully fitted bathroom also has a shower. There is an upstairs shower room
The cottage kitchen includes electric oven and hob with extractor fan, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and toaster.There is an iron and ironing board. It has satellitwe TV, CD player and a selection of books and games. The bathroom also has a shower.
The properties and grounds are designed with plenty of room to relax with friends or on your own.
High chair available.
There is ample car parking for both properties.

- 4-8 weeks from the first day of your holiday leads to the loss of 50% of your holiday cost.
