Finca zur Miete in Orgiva

This lovely casita offers all the comforts of home in a rural Spanish location with open plan lounge/kitchen and two large bedrooms and a modern bathroom.
Though secluded, the property is only minutes from the bustling market town of Orgiva where you will find all the amenities of modern life including banks with cashpoints, a number of small supermarkets, cafès, internet cafès, several bars (serving free tapas) and a handful of restaurants all serving a 3 course meal (Menu del Dia)including a glass of wine/beer for under 10 euros.
The casita has plenty of outside space. There is a shaded area with barbecue and table and chairs for eating al fresco, you can relax in the shade of the olive trees or just lie back in the Jacuzzi and enjoy the fabulous views. Should you be feeling energetic there are many wonderful places to visit and explore. The area is well placed for biking, hiking and walking and many routes are mapped and marked according to difficulty. Winter sports are easily reached in the Sierra Nevadas. Bird watchers are also well served with a huge variety of species ranging from the humble Sardinian warbler to the magnificent Golden Eagle.
When you feel like venturing further, the white villages of the mountains are just a short drive away and Granada with its world famous Alhambra and fascinating Moorish old town is less than 1 hours drive by car or bus, as is the Mediterranean coast with its many beaches.

This is a gem of a place and especially sitting amongst the orange trees after a long day's walking in the mountains. I stumbled across this beautiful casita on the internet and I assure you that the pictures do not do justice to how nice the house is. It was great, after exploring the area, to end each day looking out across the mountains with a glass of Rioja either sitting on the patio or relaxing in the Jacuzzi. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants something a bit more different and authentic and away from it all. The 10 days just flew by and we would definitely go back again. Many thanks to Mike and Grethe for a great holiday.
