Its essence and its distinction is that the area retains a vast amount of untouched natural scenery and authentic local character - while sharing the fantastic climate and all the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol.
Within easy reach of the airports of Malaga (30 minutes) and Gibraltar (20 minutes), La Duquesa seems like a thousand miles away from the throng of the holiday resorts and offers an unparalleled quality of life in Southern Spain.

Among the many attractions, too numerous to list fully, including: La Duquesa sport marina, miles of beautiful beaches, promenades, bars, restaurants and cafés, numerous Championship 18 hole golf courses, the natural marvels of Andalusia, shopping and bustling nightlife minutes away.

The picture postcard port La Duquesa offers full marina services for boating enthusiasts as well as a myriad of attractions for those with no aspirations to take to the water. The attractive promenades encircling the port offer a variety of international restaurants, intimate bars and cafés in which to while away the days. Two nights a week the port hosts a unique Crafts Market, popular with the local residents as well as visitors.

LA DUQUESA GOLF( and Country Club boasts an 18 holes course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., a technical masterpiece with wonderful sea and mountain views. Further golfing challenges include: Alcaidesa, Valderrama, Sotogrande, La Cañada and San Roque and if this is not enough, there are many other courses 72 in Costa del Sol. La Duquesa has offers for September. 45 euros a game and free buggies..October sees the fee go to 55 euros with no free buggies but my apartment is only £300 GBP per week 4-6 sharing in October.

Whether its miles of pristine beaches (many earning the European Blue Flag for cleanliness) or rugged mountains with their wildlife, the La Duquesa area offers every type of terrain. Rising virtually from the beaches, the mountains hide their medieval towns like little jewels of the famed White Villages. Every type of nature recreation is at hand including even winter and spring skiing only two hours away in Granada.

Cosmopolitan Life can be found only twenty minutes away in the "jet-set" city of Marbella. Shopping experiences of every kind are available from the small shops and boutiques lining the cobble-stoned streets of Old Marbella to the all under one roof shopping experience of the La Cañada shopping mall.

In the other direction Gibralta is but 15-20 minutes drive where ferries can take you to Africa, for a daytrip to Tangiers or an overnight stay in Casablanca or Marrakesh.

The resort is set back a bit from the marina and beach on a natural hill in the Ronda foothills giving peace and quiet and exquisite views of sea and mountains pure air very quiet except for the sound of goats bells yet the beach and port are nearby and the nightlife is rich!! You have a secure garage beneath your apartment so a car is recommended for the elderly small children and golfers for VALDERAMA. MARBELLA SOTTOGRANDE SAN ROQUE and 30+ other courses within a 15 min drive.Extra beds are available should your party be a large one and still you will all be comfortable.

Credit Card payments go through the surgery and are immediately receipted. He is assisted by joint owner Victoria Ballard a retired osteopath who knows the La Duquesa area well and can answer questions by telephone regarding your holiday, the apartment and the resort. We aim to ensure your stay is comfortable from beginning to end.
