Ferienwohnung zur Miete in La Manga

This beautiful, second floor apartment was completed in November 2004. It has two double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, a fitted kitchen with granite tops, 2 bathrooms, 1 with bath, shower,wc and bidet, the other with shower and wc, there is also a pull out bed in the lounge which sleeps 2, but for me the best bit is the balcony which catches the sun all day and is a wonderful place to have breakfast and just chill out through the year. The balcony looks straight out over the marina and the Mar Menor and mountains beyond. After a busy day sightseeing or sunbathing try out one of the many restaurants on the strip and taste the delights of this wonderful region. There are 3 restaurants within a short walk and the Tomas Maestra Marina is just 10 minutes walk with lots of restaurants and bars. There are long stretches of unspoilt beaches, a great place to unwind. We have an online video of the apartment.

La Manga Strip

La Manga Del Mar Menor is a strip of land with white sand beaches, 21 km in length and average width of 300m. The strip separates the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Menor (the Minor Sea), which is a lagoon that has a surface area of 170 sq. km and a maximum depth of 8m, and is considered to be the worlds largest swimming pool, due to its calm and warm waters, which are rich in salts and iodine, and maintain a temperature that is never lower than 18 degrees. Paradise!


Water Sports and Activities

Thanks to the geographic conditions and the climate, La Manga del Mar Menor is probably the best place in the world for the practice of nautical sports. The two distinct seas, soft breezes, sunny days and significant sporting infrastructures makes La Manga a sailors paradise; various sport ports, such as the Peurto Tomas Maestre or the Port of Cabo de Palos, numerous sailing schools, and diving clubs for the lovers of underwater activities, are a few of the facilities that you can find at La Manga. Horse riding, cycling, blue flag beaches and boat trips also make this a favourite place for all the family.


Relax and enjoy

In La Manga you can rest, practice sport and also get to know the local history, join in theatrical or musical productions or participate in the Traditional Fiestas of the area. The cultural offering includes the Festival International de Teatro, Musica yDanza de Sans Javier, La Mar Musicas in Cartagna, visits to archaeological remains such as the Roman Theatre in Cartagena or tours through the Sierra Minera. A world of flavours is offered to the visitors of La Manga, fish and shellfish fresh from the sea, prepared on hotplates, or as ingredients in the locally famous Caidero, a typical rice dish of the fisherman. Fresh fruit and vegetables from the fields of Cartagena are abundant and tasty compliments from the land. Salted fish products such as salted tuna and its roe, that are produced following techniques from the Roman era. Cierva pie from San Javiera with its characteristic salt - sweet flavour.
