Sleeps 4. 2 bedroom renovated detached cottage in rural Andalucia. The property is very private with the advantage of a swimming pool to the rear of the property. The front of the cottage has a very large terrace. This has the advantage of two large built in seating areas over looking the olive groves and beyond. The views are stunning, if you want real Spain you wont be disappointed. The terrace also has a table and four chairs along with gas and coal barbecue's for those warm summer evenings. It also has the advantage of a pergola for shade during the day.
Bedroom 1 is a double bedroom with a king sized bed and large en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 is another large room with twin beds.
Both bedrooms are at opposite sides of the stairwell to offer complete privacy. Shower room to side of second bedroom with large shower area WC and washbasin.
Traditional Andalucian kitchen style with gas oven and hob. Fridge with freezer compartment, microwave (placed in utility room) toaster, kettle etc and full range of cookware.
Large utility room to hold all other utility needs for the property. We do offer a laundry service by arrangement with Sue (our house manager) Sue will arrange the cost with you.
A cozy lounge, comfortably furnished with SKY TV, DVD's music and films etc. A wood burning stove for use in winter months. Separate dining room holds table and chairs for 4 people.
The cottage has a private swimming pool directly behind the house. This is enclosed in walled and gated surround provides extra privacy and safety for children accessing the pool ( Children should be supervised around the pool at all times) Sun loungers are provided and all usual outdoor furniture supplied. Pool toys and entertainments are all held in the pool house. There is an awning to provide shade during the day for and for al-fresco dining.
There is also a pump house at the back of the pool holding the gas heater for the hot water to the main house. Also, there is a separate WC and WHB.
Further down the garden(away from the pool and house area) is the housing for the generator. This is enclosed in its own brick building and supply's the house with all electricity. The switches for the generator are ideally located at the front of the house for arrival and an internal switch is ideally located in the dining room.
The house is very old (Approx 100+ years) traditionally built the Spanish way. Internally we have kept all the Andalucia features such as archways in the walls, original wood beams in the ceiling, original stone stairs (tiled) which divides the bedrooms. The stairs are not all even heights which adds to the charm and character expected of a Spanish Finca.
The walls are of thick stone ensuring coolness in the summer with the window shutters closed all day. The evening allows for a lovely breeze to flow through the rooms (we have netted screens covering the windows) The cozy wood burning fire will heat the house in winter making the lounge homely and comfortable..
The property is managed by our house managers and linen changes are provided per week. Please note towels are provided for bathroom use only. You will be required to bring your own beach towels.
