Nestling on the lower slopes of the Sierra Cabrera in Cortijo Grande, just 15 minutes drive from the old Moorish town of Mojacar, is Casa Estival, a beautiful Andalucian villa. The setting is one of outstanding natural beauty and the villa has spectacular 360-degree mountain and golf course views. If it's a quiet time you're after then you won't find anywhere much quieter than Cortijo Grande. It is a paradise for birds and the mountains are awash with orange, almond and olive trees. Goats graze, their bells ringing gently, on the side of the mountain all day long. This region of Almeria is celebrated for having more sunny days than anywhere else in Spain.

Our standards are high & Casa Estival was recently redecorated & refurnished. It is arranged as follows:

3 air-conditioned (hot and cold), bedrooms (for up to 7 + cots): master bedroom with double bed, childrens bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed. Third double bedroom. The villa has a family bathroom and a separate showerroom.

Open kitchen with dining area and separate lounge.
The lounge has two sofas, armchairs, satellite TV, DVD, CD, I-Pod player. Free WI-FI.

The kitchen / dining area is well equipped with oven, gas stove, dishwasher, fridge freezer and has a large dining table French doors lead onto the terraceso equipped for dining outside.

Swimming pool, terraces and gardens:
The lower terrace of the property has a beautiful private pool, which, with the safety of small children in mind, is accessed via a gate. Sunloungers and parasols are provided for your relaxation & comfort.

Furthermore, the villa has 5 more terraces including a BBQ terrace with stunning views of the Sierra Cabrera mountains. All terraces have tables and chairs for outdoor dining, all with breathtaking views of the mountains, the golf course and beyond.

Golf
Due to its elevated position, Casa Estival overlooks the Cortijo Grande Golf Course, which operates on a pay as you play basis. The course has 9 holes and lies in the valley surrounded by the beautiful Sierra Cabrera mountains. The course is covered with orange, lemon and almond trees which splash the fairways with the colour in the winter months. The course is well maintained yet not fussy, etiquette is high but relaxed. Golf buggies can be hired. Two sets of golf clubs held in the villa for you to use on request, should not want to take your own. This region of Andalucia has many golf courses and you should explore, then championship courses are available nearby.

Beaches
Casa Estival is only 15 minutes drive to some of the most spectacular and unspoilt beaches of the Mediterranean. Mojacar has long sandy beaches, equipped with climbing frames for children, beach bars and restaurants. The stunning Cabo de Gata National Park with its pristine and secluded bays are a joy to discover. The nearby fishing port and yacht harbour of Garrucha, where the fish are auctioned off every day and can be tried in the local restaurants, make this a seafood lovers haven!

Local town:
Turre is the nearest small town, just 7 minutes, and it has a supermarket, several restaurants and banks.

Mojacar is just 15 minutes away and is divided into two parts; set on the hillside is the old Moorish town where sugar-cube like houses perch on the mountain-side, all connected by cobbled streets and arches. From it's wonderful piazza you can take in the spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast. The second area is Mojacar Playa, the beach, which has a number of shops and beach bars, cafes and restaurants.

All towns have weekly markets.

Fiestas
This is a Spanish way of life! All towns and villages celebrate with regular festivals that usually with music, dancing, dressing up and fireworks. The New Year celebrations in Mojacar Pueblo (old town) is always a great success!

For entertainment, away from the villa then go horse riding in the mountains, go-karting in Garrucha,or visit the Aqua Park in Vera. Visit Tabernas where you can find mini-Hollywood an old movie set, where some of the famous Westerns were filmed, and they reinact cowboy and Indian shoot-outs for your pleasure! There is a fabulous wildlife park there too.

Villa Management
We pride ourselves on our personal service and highest standards. We are always willing to help with any enquiries. Once you are in Spain, Casa Estival is managed locally to provide support as required. Information about the villa, the area, including the best restaurants, the most beautiful beaches and how to get to the supermarkets etc, can be found in our comprehensive villa handbook.

Getting there:
Casa Estival is easily accessible from the following airports: Almeria (30 minutes), Murcia (90 minutes) and Alicante (2 hours).

We are very happy to advise on flights.

The villa is available from Saturday to Saturday, although we can accommodate more flexibility in off-peak times.

The villa is available to you from 3.00 clock and we request that, on the day of departure, you vacate the villa to 10 clock. We always try to be flexible on these times, if at all possible.

Car Rental:
It is necessary to rent a car, we can advise on this if necessary.

One last word:
Please note that this is a property in a rural environment.
The villa is built into the hillside and has steps between terraces.

Notes:
Deposit: A deposit of 25% required to secure the booking. The balance is due eight calendar weeks prior to departure.

Deposit: We request a separate returnable deposit of £150.00 with your balance payable 8 weeks before departure. Your deposit will be by bank transfer 1 week after your return, and after confirming that everything is well from our management company.

Cleaning: The villa will be cleaned before your arrival. For bookings longer than a week, should you require a mid stay clean, a fee of 50 € payable directly to the management company.

A change of bed linen and towels will be made for all stays of more than 1 week.

Please note that beach towels are not provided.

Air Conditioning: Regrettably, due to soaring electricity costs we have found it necessary to charge for air conditioning at 40 € per week. Should you require this facility then this fee is to paid directly to the management company upon arrival.
