Casa Cristina, a sympathetically restored and extended traditional Andalucian country house retaining all of its rustic charm but with all home comforts. Our original home here but now available to you as a peaceful holiday retreat. Situated the hillside overlooking the Arroya del Cerezo valley with superb views to the distant hills of Las Chozas and beyond. The house offers comfortable accommodation for 8 people with 4 spacious bedrooms overlooking the pool; one twin and one double on the ground floor with bathroom and one twin and one double on the first floor with bathroom making Casa Cristina ideal for two family group accommodation or for the less agile members of your group to take over the ground floor. We take pride in Casa Cristina and are responsive to any of our renters needs. Since we are local, we deal with our guests directly - from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between.

Sitting Room: The sitting room situated on the first floor has comfortable sofas, satellite TV, video player with videos for all ages, hi-fi with a selection of CDs, various games, a good choice of holiday reading and a wood-burner to keep you cosy during chilly winter evenings. Leading out of the sitting room is the bamboo and grapevine covered roof terrace at the rear of the house with wonderful views down the valley - an ideal spot for breakfast and quiet reading.

Dining Room: On the ground floor in the centre of the house is the dining room where the age of the house is identified by the exposed Moorish pottery and stone wall. There are impressive ceiling beams and another wood-burner.

Kitchen:The large rustic kitchen has granite work-tops, oven/hob, microwave, toasters, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a comprehensive range of cooking equipment. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board in the adjoining utility room and access to the kitchen terrace, which in turn has stairs to the roof terrace.

Bedrooms: On the ground floor is a twin-bedded room with bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and wardrobe and a double bedroom with bedside cabinets, dressing table, wardrobe with drawers and a chaise lounge.

On the first floor there is a twin-bedded room with wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside cabinet and a double room with king-size bed, dressing table and chair and a large wardrobe with drawers underneath.

Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms in the property. The ground floor bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash-hand basin, wc and large cupboard. The first floor bathroom has a large shower, wash-hand basin and wc.

Private pool:The pool is 8 x 4 metres and is 1.4 metres deep all over, so excellent for a swim or just to play about in. There is plenty of pool-side terracing with loungers and seating.

Terraces:A large covered area is to the side of the house, just right for ‘al fresco’ dining and to get out of the sun. A gas BBQ, drinks fridge and table-tennis are also located here.

All the terraces are lit so what better way is there to end the day than to sip Sangria, and listen to the cicadas under a clear, starry sky of a warm and balmy Andalucian evening.


We have 2000 square metres of sloping land with olive, fig, almond and peach trees. Tracks lead off the land down to the stream. All the surrounding countryside is accessible with numerous country walks of which some end up at a bar where food is normally available and children are very welcome.


We provide a comprehensive welcome pack and a friendly welcome on your arrival, and as we live only 10 minutes away we are always available to give any help or advice you require.

Out and about: Iznajar ( short drive away), a typical rural Spanish village with white-washed houses and steep narrow streets perched on the edge of The Lake of Andaluz. With its ancient castle and churches this is a must to visit and wander around. There are supermarkets, a post office, numerous shops which sell almost anything, a health cent re,banks and many tapas bars which come highly recommended. The lake has its own beach with bar/restaurant, BBQ facilities and swimming

Casa Cristina is ideally situated for easy access to the historic Alhambra Palace at Granada, the magnificent Mezquita at Cordoba, the sun-kissed beaches of the Costa del Sol and the colour and flamboyance of Sevilla.

The nearest villages of Fuente del Conde and Villaneuva de Tapia are both about 5 minutes drive. They have supermarkets, fresh bread and local bars and typically Spanish restuarants.

Other local activities include horse-riding, walking, cycling, off-roading, golf, and winter skiing in the Sierra Nevadas, If you fancy something more relaxing there is a local beauty therapist in Iznajar – highly recommended.

Travel: Both Granada and Malaga airports are less than an hour away. Car hire is essential.

Whether to totally relax and unwind or to explore the historical treasures of Andalucia you will find Casa Cristina to be your perfect holiday choice.

Bookings & Pricing: Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday but we are more flexible during mid-season.
