The property has an abundance of charming traditional Andalucian features, such as exposed brickwork, original exposed beam ceilings and rustic furniture. Outside there is an extremely spacious terrace with 9 x 5 pool, 3m x 3m covered pergola, 8 seater patio dining table and chairs with shade, 8 sunloungers and a very large garden with its own lemon grove. There is wireless internet in the property for those who just need to keep in touch with the world ! The property differs from traditional holiday properties in that the quality of the furniture and the fixtures and fittings are first class. All the interior and exterior fittings have been designed for a permanent family home and not just cheap items put in to satisfy a quick rental. If you are looking for some refinement, charm and character, this is the property for you.

Explore the stunning Andalucian countryside or visit some of the other nearby whitewashed villages and hill towns offering a wealth of excellent restaurants, bars and shops. Take a trip to the new Casabermeja Spa offering therapeutic treatments and spa facilities. El Chorro Gorge and El Torcal National Park can be reached in 15 mins by car. Why not take a trip to nearby Marbella and the world famous cosmopolitan capital of chic - Puerto Banus. There are also numerous beaches in this area including a nudist beach at you dare ! There is also the opportunity to take part in various watersports such as watersking, paragliding, wakeboarding, windsurfing, deep sea fishing and speed boating.

You can choose whatever you want to do, whether its relaxing around the villa, sunbathing next to stunning pool area, wandering round your own lemon grove or venturing deep into the heart of the Andalucian countryside and maybe chatting to the locals. This traditional part of Spain is full of charm and you are wlecomed with a smile from the locals. Its your the most of it.

Get out and about as you are within easy reach of the mountains and sea, this fabulous property is only five minutes by foot or 2 mins by car to the local rail station that offers an air conditioned service direct to either Malaga or El Chorro. Train journeys are short and take only 10 minutes to El Chorro or 25 minutes to Malaga and its abundance of shops and beaches. From Malaga, you can get connections to Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol or further afield to most major cities in Spain. If you fancy a lovely, chilled day in the heart of stunning surroundings, you couldnt do much better than a trip to El Chorro National Park. Its a beautiful location consisting of an amazing and surreal gorge cut through limestone peaks by the River Gaudalhorce with some spectacular lakes and dams. The National Park has plenty of unspoilt and amazing natural scenery, a fantastic contrast to the hustle of Malaga city or the regions coastal resorts. If this seems like too much hassle to you, then why not relax on the terrace or sip a drink by the pool and gaze over the andalucian countryside.

Take a tour of the white washed hill towns (known locally as Pueblos). There are several facinating car tours you can quite easily take to the whitewashed hillside towns like Ronda and Antequera, but still be home by tea-time. Granada and spain´s most visited attraction - the world famous Alhambra is a only an hour or so away. This can be combined with a visit to Nerja and a visit to the truly stunning Nerja Caves ( Cuevas de Nerja). Alternatively why not drive to Gibraltar for the day and see the famous apes or if you long for a bit more of home, spend your good old british pounds in the local stores.
Also within easy reach are Malaga with its newly opened Picasso exhibition as well as excellent shopping, tapas bars and restaurants.
Granada is 90 mins away with its unique Alhambra, Rhonda (60 mins), Cordoba, famous for its Mosque and Seville with its stunning old town (2 hours) are all worth visiting along with El Torcal, prehistoric landscape Antequera (40 mins)

Please note, unlike many inland properties, this villa is situated close to a normal road, making driving, finding the property and getting out and about, very easy and convenient. There are no mountainous roads, or dirt tracks to negotiate, which means you are unlikely to suffer some of the damage that occurs to cars when you rent a property "up a mountain" !!

Local outdoor activities include hill walking, bird watching, mountain biking, quad biking, and horse riding. The villa is the perfect base for touring the very best of Andalucia and for visiting the many excellent restaurants in the surrounding area and the beautiful lakes of El Chorro are just a short drive away or 7 minutes by train. We are approximately 30 minutes from Malaga airport and the Costa del Sol beaches or the cosmopolitan city of Malaga.

We are also just 20 minutes from the famous beautiful natural park.

How to Get Here

It's approximately a 30 minute picturesque journey from Malaga Airport by train, car/cab/taxi or bus. (35km). Alora is set in an idylic location with access to the beaches of Costa del Sol, natural lakes, the cosmopolitan city of Malaga or venture on to the playfroung of Marbella and Puerto Banus.

Flight from the UK to Malaga airport are numerous. From Glasgow, Edinburgh, Doncaster, Leeds, Manchester, Luton, London, Liverpool, list is endless. You can get cheap flights from most airports with Monarch, Easyjet, British Airway, Thomson, Jet2 etc

At the airport, there are always cabs/taxis available outside the airport. Alternatively you can hire a car from avisrenatacar, carjet, europa, recordrentacar, hertz rent a car europa gold or one of the many more car rental companies. A selection of companies are based right inside the airport. You can book before arrival for better prices, or even book when you arrive, as there are always cars available. For more information, please ask.
You can get the train from Malaga airport to Alora (1 connection in Malaga) and then a cab (under 2 minutes) from the station to the villa, or 10 minute walk. Alternatively you can get the bus straight to Alora from outside the airport. You will need to get off the bus at Barriada El Puente (stop next to the roundabout outside a business called Riego;s. From there, it is just 2 mins to the villa. Trains and buses run regularly from the airport to the town.

A security deposit of £350 will be taken with the final balance which is returned if no damage is incurred.

Please ask about special rates for smaller group sizes of 2 to 6 people anytime between November and March. Prices start at £295 a week for 2 people during these times.
