Description

New luxury apartment set in a small quiet complex with large swimming pool. The 2 bedroom, air conditioned/heated apartment is designed to sleep six. There is a spacious lounge with large patio doors leading onto a west facing balcony with views across golf course and surrounding hills. In addition there are no buildings in front of the apartment so the balcony is not overlooked and has panoramic views to the horizon. The living area also benefits from a colour TV with UK TV channels 1-5, DVD player and CD stereo system with MP3/ipod adapter. An archway leads from the lounge/dining area to the kitchen, which is fully fitted, with numerous work surfaces and includes a fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils are also provided. There is a double and twin bedroom both with built-in wardrobes and shelving. The double has views over the golf course and a patio door leading onto the balcony. A double fold out bed is found in the lounge. The bathroom comprises of a bath, shower, basin, and toilet and is fully tiled throughout. All windows are double-glazed with doors and windows having roller blinds to keep warm in winter and cool in summer.
Also included in the apartment for your use are an iron, ironing board, clothes drier, sunloungers, beach parasols, cool bag and blocks, and beach mats.
The apartment has use of a swimming pool and dedicated gated parking and a tennis court. The communal swimming pool and children’s pool is open all year around surrounded by lovely landscaped gardens and parasols for you to enjoy. Guests can also make use of the hotel pools areas.
The apartment is owned by 3 siblings, Simon, Rachael and Caroline. It's a family apartment, not a business and as such we hope it has all the little extras you would have in your own holiday home making you feel at home when you're there.


Valle Del Este Golf Course

The 18 hole Valle del Este par 71 championship course was designed by Jose Canales in 2002. It is a spectacular and extremely challenging course with stunning views. Each hole presents a different and interesting challenge. There are lakes and ravines, set amongst wonderful natural vegetation with olive trees, palm trees and cactus. The finishing hole is a beautiful par 4 with water cascading to the left, flowing from the lake that surrounds the green on 3 sides. The rural setting and natural lakes with water features makes this the most spectacular course in the area.

Other courses in the area are Desert Springs, a 6750 yard par 72 course, designed by Walker Cup Captain, Peter McEvoy 20 minutes drive. Marina del Torre 10 minutes drive, Cortijo Grande 30 minutes drive and La Envia Golf at Almeria 1 hours drive.

Valle Del Este Resort

The 4 star hotel gives you access to a fitness centre, restaurants, bars, shops and leisure facilities. The hotel, golf clubhouse and resort shops are a short stroll away, along with the commercial centre where you will find a cluster of bars and a restaurant, together with a bank, internet cafe, hairdressers, gift shop, newsagents and supermarket. Free WiFi is available in the resort bar.


Location

Located conveniently on junction 529 of E15 the main coastal motorway which gives easy access from either Almeria airport 45 minutes, Murcia airport 1.5 hours or Alicante airport 1.75 hours by car.
Flights to Almeria from Stansted, Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast.
Daily flights to either Murcia or Alicante from Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Southampton, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol, Glasgow with Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2, Flybe, Monarch, Air 2000 and BA.


The Area

There are a variety of Blue flag beaches from Villaricos to Mojacar Playa, all with safe bathing and sandy beaches along a 10-mile coastal strip. Water sports in the area include sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing and scuba diving. The area is also excellent for snorkelling.
The local towns and villages include Mojacar, Vera, Cuevas, Turre, Garrucha and Bedar. These are all typically Spanish in nature but have the convenience of supermarkets, banks, chemists, doctors, a large variety of excellent restaurants and also weekly markets.


Places to Visit

Various activities can be found in the surrounding area including go-karting, horse back riding, mountain biking, climbing, fishing, sailing, historic sites, a theatre/cinema, water sports, Park Aquatico water park and a Wild West theme park situated on the location of many Hollywood films. Details of local attractions and a guest suggestions book are provided within the apartment.
South of Mojacar, between Carboneras and Almeria is the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. This is a wild rugged area, ideal for those who like hiking or simply looking at the stunning scenery. Further inland about 2 hours drive is Granada with the well known Alhambra Palace and Genora Life Gardens – a place not to miss. The hillside town of Mojacar Pueblo is very picturesque with whitewashed houses set on top of one another with narrow streets. It has many shops and restaurants and some stunning views and sunsets from the village plaza.


Climate

The Costa de Almeria has the driest and hottest in Continental Europe, averaging 330 days of sunshine and low rainfall. In summer temperatures reach around a maximum of 30°C and winter weather is very mild, at a minimum of around 15°C, due to the local topography of the surrounding hills and mountains. The weather is ideal for golfers all year round, and for those who suffer from arthritis or rheumatism. Long-term winter lets are negotiable at reduced rates.

Booking Conditions

Booking deposit of £150 required (non-refundable in the event of cancellation). Damages deposit of £100 payable with the full rental balance, refunded in full within 10 days of holiday completion, subject to no damage occurring to apartment. Full rental to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. Payment in Euros is accepted.
Apartment will be ready by 2pm. Departure by 10am.
Cleaning is always done before arrival but due to limited time we ask you to leave the property and contents reasonably clean and tidy.
Maps and directions will be provided upon booking. Advice on car hire companies will also be provided upon request.
