Ferienwohnung zur Miete in Playa de Taurito

This bright apartment is situated in Playa de Taurito (55 km from the airport) which is the last bay before Puerto de Mogan, the small town that is very much liked by everyone because of its canals, bridges, harbour and restaurants.
Taurito is in the middle of the Southwest coast of Gran Canaria which guarantees you the best weather of the whole island.
From the terrace you enjoy magnificent views of the sea which is about 250m from the apartment (bird's-eye view).
At night you can even hear the sea from the terrace as well as from inside your bedroom.
Due to its location you can enjoy the sun fully and directly from noon till the beautiful sunset. Part of the terrace is covered for those who prefer the shade.
When you want to sunbathe in the morning, you can either go to the beach where you’ve got sun very early or you can go to the pool terrace of the complex. The pool is divided in 2 parts: one part is for adults and one part for kids. There are enough sun loungers at the pool and also a few pool tables available.
The apartment itself was recently completely refurbished (finished the end of March 2012).
There is a new and bigger fully equipped open kitchen ( 4 hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, huge fridge-freezer) and a brand new bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
There’s also a small storage space with a washing machine, but also with extra linen for the beds and all the towels you need (bathing as well as beach towels). We also provide cleaning material, although a cleaning before and after your stay is already included in the price.
In the bedroom you find 2 new single beds (each 90 cm) with new mattresses (the beds can easily be put together) and more wardrobe space to ensure that even though you stay in this apartment with up to 4 people, you can put away all your clothing conveniently.
There are new curtains in the bedroom and living room to guarantee a healthy goodnight sleep.
In the living room we have a brand new sofa which can be turned into a bed, size 160 x 200, so even 2 adults can sleep here comfortably. There’s also satellite TV and internet.
There’s an extendable table for those few occasions people would like to eat or sit at a table inside, cause on the terrace, where you’ll probably spend more time, you’ll find a new (extractable) table and chairs for up to 6 people.
Furthermore, there are 2 new sun loungers on the terrace as well.

The complex offers nice gardens and views from everywhere, free Wi-Fi at the reception area but also an internet corner for those that didn’t bring along their laptop. There are also a few machines in that area that provide hot and cold drinks, candy and cigarettes.
You can enter the complex by stairs or by a ramp and in the building there are lifts, so you are sure not to be forced to climb stairs in the complex with a trolley, buggy or old knees... ;-)
When you leave the complex and go to the right, you have a walk of nearly 10 minutes to go down to the roundabout. Here you’ll find taxi’s and the bus stop.
From the roundabout you also enter the resort of Taurito where you find tennis courts as well as mini-golf, a game hall, a few shops (including one where you can rent a car), a supermarket (Spar), a few restaurants (in hotels), a huge water park and at the end of the resort you’ll find the small but very nice natural beach with plenty of water sports (3 diving schools, jet-ski, parasailing, banana boat,...) at the right side, but you’ll also find a restaurant right on the beach as well...
If you want to, you can get sun loungers and sun-shade (9 € for 2 sun loungers + umbrella for a whole day) and there’s always a lifeguard at the beach.

Staying in this apartment and area guarantees you a quiet, peaceful holiday without much noise and with everything at hand in less than a 15 min walk.
If you want to go to a huge supermarket though with lots of fruits, veggies and meat, you can go to the Spar or Hiperdino in Puerto de Mogan (5 km) where you can even have your purchases delivered and put everything in the huge fridge freezer afterwards. Puerto de Mogan is also nice for an outdoor dinner and/or to walk around the canals and the harbour (you can also see part of this harbour from the terrace of the apartment).
If you really want to see crowds or you fancy a dance in a disco you can go to the other direction and head for Puerto Rico (9,5 km).
Going to Puerto de Mogan or Puerto Rico by bus will only cost you € 1,40/ person...
