Nerja is both a traditional Spanish town and a modern resort, located 35 miles East of Malaga, in spectacular setting between the foothills of the Sierra Almijaras and the sparkling Mediterranean sea. Referred to as the "jewel of the Costa del Sol", it can be reached in about 40 minutes by car from Malaga Airport (transfers can be arranged). Nerja enjoys a micro climate with mild winters (rarely below 17o) and hot summers fanned by a gentle afternoon breeze.
There are several beaches, from small secluded coves to large sandy areas. The focal point of Nerja is the beautiful Balcon De Europa, a magnificient paved promenade lined with palm trees and offering views of the dramatic coast line. Stroll along here or wander through the narrow, whitewashed streets of the old town.
You will find a wide choice of Spanish and international restaurants, bars and beach cafes where you can enjoy freshly caught sardines or a portion of a giant paella cooked over a wood fire.
The apartment is 5 minutes walk from the Balcon de Europa, shops, restaurants and beaches, yet sheltered from the hustle and bustle by a tranquil garden overlooking the Mediterranean. Please be aware the prices for this rental property are in GBPounds.
