Our ground floor duplex is on the outskirts of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca on the very popular urbanisation of Jardin Del Mar V. Jardin del Mar is in a complex of houses and 2 storey apartments, with designated pool areas, situated approx 5 mins drive from Torrevieja town centre and beaches and about 30 miles from either Alicante or Murcia Airport. It has its own south facing walled patio, can accommodate a maximum of five and is available for either short or long term holiday lets throughout the year. 3 bedroom , 2 bathroom, 2 solarium villa nearby also available, please ask for info
Its' southern aspect also makes this a warm apartment for winter rentals as well as a total sun-trap for all you sun seekers out there! Jardin del Mar is situated between the blue and pink salt lakes of Torrevieja. A cycle path connects the beach with the lakes and you could bring your binoculars to go bird watching!
It is also ideally placed for a short golf break with four courses all within a 20 minute drive of the apartment. There are bars, restaurants, Carrefour supermarket, the Habaneras shopping Centre, an Aqua-park, Bowling Alley and a Sports Complex all within walking distance. This is a popular area close to salt lakes and nature parks, suitable for walking and cycling. There is a bus stop nearby with a regular bus service to the town centre and blue flag beaches.
The accommodation comprises of two bedrooms, one double and one twin and one bathroom (with shower). It has a fully equipped separate kitchen (Not American style)
The lounge has a chaise lounge sofa along with a 32 LCD TV showing English channels, (ITV, BBC1 etc) collection of 75 music CD's, DVD player , collection of 150 DVD's, a PS2 with 30 games, Ipod docking station, board games and books. We offer wi fi free of charge. There is also a dining area which seats 5. For your comfort ceiling fans are fitted in all rooms. If needed there is a hot/cold air conditioning unit in the lounge available on a meter.
The enclosed patio with lockable gate makes it safe for those little ones. We have furnished it to make it feel like home, even down to bucket and spades for the children! Also available for guests use is a sun parasol for the beach, beach chairs, beach mats and inflatables, and a cool box. There is a travel cot, high chair and pushchair available at no extra cost. There is a hair dryer available.
When we bought our property in 2002 with a view to eventually living in Torrevieja we knew we wanted a south facing property but didn't realise then quite how important that is! We are delighted that every time the sun shines, no matter what time of year, we can always get a sun tan on our patio, it really is a suntrap.
We feel for a long rental we are ideally placed with everything within walking distance so car hire is not essential. We can arrange airport transfers. We are available normally between Nov-March for a long rental but this does depend on existing reservations so could be longer if needed, please always ask for availability. Please enquire for discounted long term rental rates. For security reasons calender is not completed, please always ask for availability.
The Costa Blanca is an ideal location for a summer or winter sun holiday with an average of 320 days sunshine each year. Torrevieja is a fast developing Mediterranean coastal town situated approximately 30 miles from Alicante / Murcia airports on the Costa Blanca, in the south east of Spain. It is easily accessible due to the main N322 road and the A7 motorway .It is situated next to the sea in the south of the Valencian Community and it boasts lots of beaches, a natural park and salt lakes where there is an abundance of flamingos and other wildlife. Due to the vicinity of the salt lakes, Torrevieja benefits from a microclimate that has been a long favourite with the Spanish and Nordic tourists who come year after year for its beneficial effects. Torrevieja has even been voted as one of the best places to live by the World Health Authority.
From March the New Indoor Torrevieja Market opens just a few minutes walk from the apartment and offers more than 50 shops and services all under the one roof, offering a touch of just about everything in one convenient place. Indoor Market Torrevieja is open Monday through Saturday inclusive, from 10.00am to 6.00pm and they don’t close for lunch. The Bar serves up a wide variety of goodies to go with that relaxing cup of café con leche or frosty libation, with both a full English or Spanish breakfast available, plus tapas and lots of bar snacks
Torrevieja: A popular place to stay, Torrevieja caters well for tourism, with plenty of activities on offer by day or night although it isn't a resort in the package holiday town provides first class facilities for lovers of all sports - there are golf clubs, a flying club, a variety of water sports and the municipal stadium with an athletics track, sauna and covered courts for tennis. Visitor numbers increase greatly during the summer months of July and August, and Easter is another popular time, it's no wonder with a fantastic climate, lots of restaurants and shops galore, Torrevieja is the ideal choice for a fun-packed holiday in the sun. It is also ideally placed for a short golf break, there are many professional golf courses within 20 minutes drive from the accommodation, notably Villamartin, Las ramblas and Campoamor.
Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping centre in Europe which opened on 25 September 2012, is a five minute drive away. Zenia Boulevard has a traditional Mediterranean design, featuring more than 600 trees and 55 different plant species in the various gardens and open spaces which give colour to the shopping centre. Its layout is designed to reflect a typical Spanish village, with various “town squares” such as Plaza London Square or Plaza Mayor linked by “streets” lined with shops of every description.
The centre accommodates popular national, international and local brands such as the hypermarket Alcampo, Leroy Merlin, Tenpin bowling, Primark, Inditex with Zara and their other trademarks H&M, C&A, Deichmann, Guess, Geox, Swarovski, Punto Roma, Muerde la Pasta, Kiko, Druni and Marvimundo. There is a Casino there and childrens play areas.
If day trips are your thing then there is plenty to do and see around the Costa Blanca.

Terra Mitica , Mundomar, Terra Natura - three parks in the same vicinity just outside Benidorm, Terra Mitica a large theme park and Mundomar a Marine Exotic Animal Park
Alicante -The capital of Costa Blanca, excellent for its shops, beaches and castle
Murcia and Cartagena -Murcia is a very spanish town steeped in history and Cartagena is a seaport with a natural harbour

The rates include all utility bills, (not long lets) your departure clean and being met at the property with the keys. (Though for departures/arrivals between the hours of 23.00 – 8 am there is a charge of 10 euros payable locally) The air conditioning/heating, if needed, is available on a meter.
A booking deposit of 25% is required to reserve and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. Changeover days are negotiable depending on existing reservations, midweek bookings accepted. Prices shown are per week for up to four guests, for a party of five there is a small surcharge per week. Smoking on the terrace only, please. Car hire is not essential,airport transfers can be arranged from either Murcia or Alicante airport . A damage and key deposit of &100 is required and will be returned after satisfactory inspection of the apartment. Payment may be made by personal cheque or by bank transfer, however, if you prefer we can offer secure credit card payments via Pay Pal. These payments will incur an additional charge of 5%.
