The house is on the hill of Cerro Gordo west of the village of La Herradura. The townhouse is one of few in the urbanicazion with its own walled garden with lawn, citrus trees and tropical flowering climbers.
The house is on three floors providing for both social zones for dining and entertaining as well as several terraces for relaxation and solitude. Behind the house is a national park and the area is therefore charming and quiet with nature close at hand. Street parking for several cars.
Shared pool with sun beds, parasols, kids pool and paddle tennis courts is only 50 meters walk from the house.
Underfloor heating in the living-room, kitchen and the two new bathrooms. Heat pump system with heaters in bedrooms and living room (works as AC during summer months, heaters during cooler months) as well as additional mobile heaters, makes this a comfortable holiday home for all seasons.
The ground floor compromises dining kitchen with direct access to outdoor covered dining area, living room with direct access to terraces with sea views and to private tropical garden. Bedroom with direct access to garden and ensuite bathroom. Garden has citrus trees, tropical plants and lawn. Ideal for sun bathing, children’s play area etc.
The living room has lounge area and indoor dining area. Walk-in storage with cookware and storage. The kitchen is well equipped with everything from tableware, ovenware, espresso machine, citrus press, blender, microwave etc.
First floor has two bedrooms and bathroom. This is also the entrance floor. The one bedroom (two single beds/double bed) has access to its own private balcony with flower boxes. The second bedroom (double bed) has a French balcony. Bathroom with toilet, sink, bath tub and shower.
The top floor, also called the tower room, consists of the third bedroom (double bed) with access to own private roof-top terrace with two chaise lounges and spectacular sea views. Ensuite bathroom with shower and direct access to roof-top terrace.
Playa La Herradura, the beach, is 2 km long and only 25 minutes walk downhill from the house. It is clean and charming, dotted with beach front cafés, restaurants, and playground for kids, shops and water sports rentals. The area is popular for snorkelling and scuba diving.
La Herradura is an attractive holiday destination all year with short access to the mountains and skiing of Sierra Nevada during winter, hill-walking all year, golf courses, sailing, cycling, tennis, riding and water sports along the coast.
La Herradura maintains it’s picturesque Spanish authenticity due to building regulations and is today a popular and charming holiday destination for inland Spaniards seeking the freshening breezes of the Mediterranean during the summer months. The village has some small supermarkets, bakery, banker, pharmacies, garden centre, hairdresser, water sports centre, scuba diving centres and a real Spanish indoor market, a mercado commerciale that sells fresh produce every day. In addition Friday is the weekly market day with merchants offering baskets, olive oils, clothing etc.
The region boasts many beautiful villages and fun excursions.
